The Bellevue Department of Transportation is seeking to fill one Intelligent Transportation Systems Engineer Intern position. This position is within the Smart Mobility group which manages the city's Intelligent Transportation System (ITS). This system includes a fully adaptive traffic signal system, traffic camera system, and other traffic operations tools.
These internships are an excellent opportunity for undergraduate students to gain on the job experience through working with a team of engineers on conceptual designs, data analysis, traffic operations, and other elements of transportation projects. It also offers students the opportunity to take on more in-depth and independent projects as they gain engineering experience.
****THIS POSITION REQUIRES STUDENTS TO BE ABLE TO WORK PART-TIME DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR AT BELLEVUE CITY HALL.***

Salary: Starting at
$21.42/hr
Hours: Students would be expected to work full-time (40 hours per week) during the summer and part-time (8 to 20 hours per week) during the school year. Part-time hours flexible to student’s class schedule.
Location: Hybrid. This position will primarily work in person at Bellevue City Hall with potential opportunities for remote work.
