  • PTWB, 40 hrs/pp, 0.5 FTE; varies as scheduled, plus call.

Job Summary:

Coordinates a variety of complex nursing functions related to cardiopulmonary patient care.  The Cardiopulmonary Nurse provides safe patient care to cardiology and cardiopulmonary patients both in the ambulatory and hospital settings.  Assures appropriate documentation is completed on all patients, understands, and adheres to laws, rules, and regulations relating to patient care; serves as liaison between other Team members and providers as necessary; is able to react proactively to change and performs related duties as assigned.  Displays understanding of performance improvement measures as set forth by Directors and participates in data collection efforts to support those improvements. Supervise, assess, and monitor patients during cardiac and pulmonary rehab including exercise therapy and education sessions. Coordinate patient care and respond to emergency situations. Evaluate and recruit potential candidates for Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.

Required

WA State RN licensure. Professional knowledge of Cardiology, Cardiopulmonary Services, Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.

 Preferred

Bachelor’s degree in nursing. Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation and cardiac stress testing experience.

  (BLS required; ACLS, PALS and NRP within 6 months of hire)
