Jail Psychiatric Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners are responsible for integrating knowledge and data from may scientific frameworks to provide holistic psychiatric care to individuals as part of a health care team for Jail Health Services at King County Correctional Facility Downtown as well as Maleng Regional Justice Center in Kent.  This position provides psychiatric health care to clients on an independent basis. This classification is distinguished from other nursing classifications in that the incumbent is responsible for medical management of psychiatric health conditions including prescribing and dispensing medications.
