POSITION SUMMARY: As CSF's lead on the PREP Project (Postsecondary Regional Equity on the Peninsula), a strategic regional partnership project focused on increasing high school to college rates for CSF mission populations on the Olympic Peninsula, the PREP Project Manager provides project and program leadership to the College Success Foundation's (CSF) student support services, and high school and college programs. The position supervises a team of regional school and campus-based staff who provide services and activities that contribute to students' enrollment in, transition to, and success in postsecondary programs. The role oversees day-to-day project and program operations, service delivery as well as partnerships with schools and other PREP partners.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

  • Manage day-to-day personnel/supervision tasks, implementation of the project plan and program operations to include but not limited to PREP project initiatives, project team meetings, training, staffing/recruiting, time and attendance, performance management process, partnership development and event planning.
  • In conjunction with the regional Executive Director (ED), manage and administer the PREP project budget in a cost-effective manner. May be required to participate in the preparation of the annual budget.
  • Manage PREP collaborative efforts with school and campus liaisons, school/campus leadership, community-based organizations, and businesses to promote college exploration and success opportunities for students. May be required to facilitate programming at new sites to meet the demands of the project and/or organization.
  • Collaborate and work closely with, but not limited to office staff, program staff, national office, CSF National Program Directors, Executive Directors on initiatives or matters that will have a direct impact to the regional site or the Foundation.
  • Manage, sustain and deliver on PREP project and program development initiatives, PREP partner-sponsored events, and other regional programing partnerships.
  • Reviews ongoing staff performance results to targets. Takes corrective measures with authorization and escalate as needed.
  • Keep ED promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action which may be taken.
  • Manage CSF's role in gathering student-level PREP project data and ensure fidelity of student and program data by overseeing collection practices that are accurate, timely and in accordance with CSF policy.
  • Creates and maintains an expectation that the principles of equity and justice are understood and incorporated in the work of the team. Serves as a champion, role model, and active participant for equity and justice activities, programs, and initiatives. Ensures the team's operational processes and procedures support the organization's goals for equity and justice.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
The items listed below are the minimum requirements for the job and are relevant to this position. The organization values both work experience and education and realizes that individuals take different paths to acquire knowledge.

  • Bachelor's education, social work or human services related field in preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in fields such as education, youth development, or policy work.
  • Four years prior supervisory or management experience highly desired.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the necessary qualifications to successfully perform the duties of the position will be considered.
    Knowledge and Skills
  • Handle a variety of tasks and projects on an ongoing basis, including meetings with staff, students, school personnel, parents/guardians, Foundation staff and other community resource persons.
  • Knowledge of and ability to build and sustain strong partnerships with educational institutions.
    •Organizing, performing, and prioritizing multiple tasks with excellent attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated understanding of complex program management.
  • Utilize proactive approaches to problem-solving with decision-making capability.
  • Build relationship with diverse stakeholders, including staff and external partners.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with students, families, educators, and community stakeholders.
  • Budget and fiscal discipline.
  • Ability to facilitate meetings, build consensus, and speak in public.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Outlook, Excel, and Word, as well as knowledge of collaborative online meeting tools such as Teams and Zoom.
  • Proactive approach while working independently and adapting to changing priorities and frequent interruptions.
  • Attend and participate in community functions, all CSF events and programs that will enhance the visibility of our programs.
  • Works collaboratively with CSF staff, colleagues, and other partners.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, respecting individual differences and serving diverse populations.
  • Initiative to learn and enhance skills that promote equity and an understanding of oppression and its impact on underserved populations.

  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Perceive, inspect, and assess data at close range.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • This position requires Washington state residents if assigned in a Washington based location. If this position is assigned in a District of Columbia based location the resident must reside in the District of Columbia.
  • The role requires regularly visiting schools and campuses where staff are located to support programming and partnership initiatives. Due to the frequency of in-person work requirements, successful candidates must live on or near the Olympic Peninsula.
  • Job may allow for hybrid work arrangements.
  • Uses collaborative software for communicating with others and attending virtual meetings.
  • Frequent travel is required, including some evening and weekend events.
  • Reliable transportation is required.
