Job Description:

The Production Plant Supervisor assists the Operations Manager in the management of production operations. Supervises shift employees who perform one or a combination of manual or machine laundry processing operations and warehousing. Oversees the safety of personnel, protection of the environment, plant efficiencies and preventative maintenance to systems and equipment through continual safe work practices and conditions. Represents New System Laundry in a professional manner to all customers, vendors, and internal personnel.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains safety program designed to meet all OSHA and OROSHA standards using employee involvement to reach established goals to ensure a safe work environment, take corrective action as needed, and conduct safety training.
  • Maintains a vigorous quality program that ensures the customer always receives the best possible product
  • Practices continuous education on processes and methods in the plant.
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are always followed
  • Monitor equipment and ensure that they are in good working order

Job Duties:

  • Manages and develops employees to achieve quality, cost and performance goals.
  • Possesses proven understanding of production, operations, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Displays a working knowledge of equipment and maintenance.
  • Flexes production to meet changing demands.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and experience working with plant safety programs.
  • Exhibits effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Displays the willingness to work second shift with the flexibility to attend daytime and/or evening events.
  • Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
  • Displays excellent and effective communication skills including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills both verbally, and in writing required in working with customers, coworkers and vendors and including the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous under pressure.
  • Must pass background check and drug screening, and provide professional references.
