Job Description

We are implementing customer master replication from MDG to ECC & back as part of their Enterprise Services project.
The project has run into design-related issues around the use of a BADI for system connections.
While the default/standard approach is to use SLD for system connections, We required to use the BADI approach because of a dependency on a multitude of use cases in MDG.
The BADI was set-up by previously SAP consulting as part of the Payee Transformation project in 2014/2015(?).
We do use SLD in only specific use cases (OER with PI), but not for other use cases.

Actions Taken:
• SAP has already assisted through MaxAttention in overcoming prior configuration issues relatd to using the BADI to replicate customer records from MDG to ECC, and for ECC to send acknowledgement messages back to MDG. This was a major milestone accomplished this past week (week of 05/12).
Customer is currently trying to get DT export from ECC to initial loads working using a file-based option (considering SLD is not in the picture), and is looking for guidance.
In consultation with SAP product teams and MaxAttentoin experts, it was suggested that if additional assistance is required, customer can seek specialized advice from expert SAP field consultants.
The customer has now gotten DTEXPORT working. Next step is to try and generate the XML. The expectations is we use DTIMPORT to pull into MDG. Key for us is getting the BP and Customer relationship.
