This position reports to the Mainframe program manager and is responsible for leading the business analysis and testing activities with a team including L&I subject matter experts, vendor partners and internal technical teams to successfully elicit, document, analyze, and manage functional and non-functional requirements throughout the lifecycle of assigned projects.

Our mainframe program is responsible for managing L&l's Industrial Insurance applications, which are the agency's priority one systems. These applications are crucial for effectively managing the worker compensation program and are used by over 3,000 staff. These include both internal and external facing applications that support Claims Administration, Employer Services, Crime Victims, Self-Insurance, Financial Services and Fraud prevention business processes. The centerpiece of these applications is L&l's Industrial Insurance system (LINIIS), which consists of over 20,000 programs and 300,000 lines of code.

This position contributes specially to the mission of the IT division by providing IT business and system analysis for all applications agency wide and IT projects. In addition, this position will occasionally perform some project coordination activities for smaller projects. The incumbent in this role is a crucial facilitator within L&I; acting as a bridge between the client, stakeholders, the solution team, and internal/external customers. In addition, this role a critical role throughout the lifecycle of a project, from initially analyzing a request for change through development to ensuring a solution meets enterprise-wide goals and adds value to the organization.
