OIC CAREER OPPORTUNITY
The Office of the Insurance Commissioner’s (OIC) Producer Licensing & Oversight Unit is seeking a motivated and qualified individual to fill a Financial Examiner 4 position.  This position is assigned to the Consumer Protection Division, located in our Tumwater office.
 
As part of the Producer Licensing & Oversight Program, this senior-level, supervisory position is responsible for the most complex financial examinations of regulated entities (e.g. agents, agencies, and surplus line brokers) for compliance with applicable laws, regulations and industry standards. Additionally, this position supervises other employees responsible for financial examinations.
 
We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have prior experience in accounting, auditing, analyzing or examining regulated entities. 
  • Are knowledgeable of insurance industry laws, regulations and best practices
  • Are experts at collecting, researching and analyzing financial information 
  • Enjoy leading a team, including training and mentoring their employees
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Enjoy independently problem solving
  • Are results driven and enjoy monitoring and executing plans

This is a Washington General Service position. The monthly salary range for this position is $86,712 - $116,556
The salary listed above includes the 3% pay increase that goes into effect on July 1, 2024.
