Required License/Certification:
- Dental Assistant License (Washington State)
- X-ray Certification
Must provide copies of DA license and BLS certification at Interview (Trainee will be considered).
Responsibilities:
- Preparing, stocking, and organizing rooms for procedures.
- Confirm and answer questions on procedures about to perform at the day of visit.
- Making patients comfortable and providing instructions.
- Take dental radiographs (dental x-rays).
- Assist the dentist during procedures such as suctioning, handing instruments, and getting supplies.
- Instructing patients on dental hygiene and proper care of dental fixtures.
- Sterilizing dental instruments and equipment according to regulations. Place it in Cabinets
- Assist with dental lab work (Pour models, prepare for shipping, and etc.)
- Manages patient records (Blood pressure, PreMed, and etc.)
- Assist patients in scheduling their next appointment with front staffs
- Give doctors’ orders to front desk (Referral, medical clearance, and etc.
Skills:
- Understanding of health & safety regulation.
- Ready to learn and adapt to procedure flow.
- Ability to perform all duties of a dental assistant.
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
- Good communication and people skills.
- Attention to detail, organized, and reliable.
- Attended dental assistant program (preferred).
