Gastro Health is seeking a Full-Time Clinic Manager to join our team in Kirkland, WA!

As a Clinic Nurse Manager at Gastro Health, you will be responsible for daily business operations and administrative functions of the clinical practice through operationalizing the organization's goals.  The Clinic Nurse Manager will hire, supervise, and mentor clinic staff in such a way to affect change and create effective teamwork. This position will manage staff, coordinate provider schedules, and ensure smooth patient flow for the clinical practice through strong problem solving and decision-making abilities. As Clinic Nurse Manager, your strong leadership skills, interpersonal skills, and effective communication contribute to efficient practice management and a positive patient experience.  Your dedication to optimizing workflow, maintaining regulatory compliance, and fostering a collaborative work environment supports Gastro Health in delivering exceptional clinical care and driving operational excellence.  The Clinic Manager provides ongoing leadership for the support and guidance of clinic staff in coordination with development of operational efficiencies to ensure cost-effective and quality operations of the clinic. Your role will be responsible for strategic implementation of initiatives and requires the business acumen required to develop process improvement targets and monitor key performance indicators for the clinic. The Clinic Nurse Manager goals will align closely with those of the Regional Manager and Division Vice President, as well as the Physician Leader, while being the present and accountable leader to transform the vision and goals into action.   Participate in Gastro Health projects, committees, or task forces as designated.  This position requires competency in change management and performance improvement while possessing basic knowledge in human resources, revenue cycle, marketing, facilities, succession planning and future growth.

Duties you will be responsible for:

  • Be a leader that creates a positive staff culture
  • Ensures excellence in patient, employee, and physician satisfaction
  • Oversees all practice operations
  • Disseminates and accountable for upholding policies and procedures
  • Demonstrates interpersonal skills in a manner which enhances communication, collaboration, promotes conflict resolution, and facilitates staff development.
  • Manages all aspects of the care center's compliance and risk management
  • Works with the clinical staff to coordinate medical management of patient care
  • Maintains super-user knowledge up-to-date and current
  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring, performance improvement, disciplinary process and provides leadership and direction in accordance with organizational goals and objectives
  • Responsible for staffing schedules based on needs
  • Responsible for training and coaching all staff
  • Ensures proper use of office equipment by designated personnel
  • Responsible for physician schedules and templates in the practice management system
  • Responsible for care center purchasing decisions; working with preferred vendors; ordering supplies; and managing inventory
  • Evaluates and manages budget, financial reports, and clinic operations metrics.
  • Monitors patient revenues, expenses and operating expenses (salaries and capital expense items) and provides appropriate reports to the Division Vice President, as well as Physicians
  • Manages clinic demand and volume to meet budgeted volume projections in collaboration with medical staff leadership
  • Takes actions to correct problematic areas
  • Ensures strategic integration of operational initiatives and clinical practices to provide an optimal patient experience
  • Approves invoices & bills for payment as per policies & procedures to ensure compliance to financial budgets
  • Works with the accounting department in approving all accounts payables
  • Works with the credentialing department in obtaining physician signatures or documentation
  • Works with the Revenue Cycle department to ensure maximized reimbursement is achieved
  • Works with the HR department and communicate all employee relation issues
  • Works with the IT department and communicate needs or deficiencies
  • Consults with GH operational leadership (Regional Director/DVP) on practice operations
  • Ensures that documentation meets current standards and policies and is completed for each clinic visit
  • Promotes the practice group brand and the care center physicians
  • Monitors workflow dashboard and open tasks
  • Monitors patient scheduling, referrals and clinic capacity issues, and takes necessary action to address challenges
  • Collaborates with ancillary services to provide seamless operations between endoscopy and clinic for patients, staff and visitors.
  • Effectively maintains all required records for the clinic; demonstrates good organizational skills
  • Consults other clinical locations, as appropriate, to collaborate in operations and performance improvement activities
  • Responsible for onsite infusion service support in collaboration with Multi-State Clinical Infusion RN Manager.
  • Coordinates with community-based services such as Evergreen Health Hospital
  • Attends scheduled manager's meetings
  • Schedules and coordinates monthly physician meetings
  • Maintains physical appearance and organization of the clinic
  • Coordinates regular staff meetings
  • Completes other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements 

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Current RN Licensure in the State of Washington
  • BLS Certified
  • GI experience
  • 5-10 years of progressive experience in managing medical practice desired
  • Knowledge of practice operations, revenue cycle & human resources
  • Ability to develop, understand and analyze data for the practice
  • Knowledgeable in computer applications and their use in a clinical setting
