Work Hours and Partial Telework flexibility may be available and considered
Salary: $4,723.00 - $7,552.00 Monthly 

In addition to the salary range listed, a general wage increase of 3% will be applied for all state employees on July 1, 2024.

The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has an exciting opportunity within our Office of Finance, Budget & Economics (OFBE). OFBE is looking for a permanent Budget Analyst 4 to provide budget planning and management services across the agency.

We will hire at a level commensurate to our below requirements and train you to be an expert in your field as a Budget Analyst 4.

The OFBE Budget Team works to ensure that program activities and funding fit within the broader context of the DNR’s mission and goals. As a member of the team, you will work to support financial compliance with state and federal laws, regulations, and reporting requirements, and facilitate the operational effectiveness and financial stability of the Agency’s Programs. As a DNR Budget Analyst, you’ll be involved in budget planning, budget development, projections, analysis, and monitoring for agency programs and initiatives. You will serve as a strategic budget expert, providing leadership, research, analysis, and recommendations on complex and often unprecedented budget issues that have budget, policy, and natural resource impact.

The successful candidate is eligible for partial teleworking but should expect to work in the office during the probationary period.
