Summary of Duties:
Assist the WSU ROAR director in program and student related tasks, timelines, and record-keeping associated with implementing and maintaining the academic services portion of the WSU ROAR Program, including but not limited to: maintaining and evaluating daily programming; maintaining internship and employment operations; responsible for academic services results; teaching workshops; facilitating internships; providing experiential opportunities for students; organizing events; representing program to internal and external constituents; related administrative functions; and support staff.
Required Qualifications:
• Positions require a Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience. Experience leading or directing the work of others. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year‐for‐year basis.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and an ability to work collaborative in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• A Master's degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
• Experience working with young adults/students with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, in a post-secondary education program or related setting.
• Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and evaluate effective plans, programs, policies, and practices related to the education of students/young adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, including excellent interpersonal communication, written reports and correspondence, and presentations for large and small audiences.
• Experience designing and implementing assessment of learning outcomes for young adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, and familiarity with behavior intervention strategies and RTI (Response to Intervention) frameworks.
• Experience addressing the needs of young adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in a post-secondary education program within an institution of higher education or at a high school.
• Knowledge of research, theories, literature, and trends in educational programs for students with disabilities and demonstrated ability to apply this knowledge in practice. Plan, conduct, and implement evidence-based practices for students with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.

Monthly Salary: $4,061.90 - $5,204.30

Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position. Successful candidates typically begin up to mid-point of the salary range. This is a temporary position.
Temporary End Date: This is a temporary position expected to end on August 1, 2025. Renewal is dependent on the need for extension and/or if additional funding is secured to extend employment.
