The Opportunity:
As the Student Retention Manager, you will be the focal point for the day-to-day operations of the Carson College of Business (CCB) masters student services team. Reporting directly to the Assistant Director of Enrollment and Student Retention, you will be directly responsible for providing a wide range of support to students enrolled in CCB's online MBA. Your duties will include but are not limited to: managing a wide variety of digital student records; reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating student data in relation to unit goals and objectives; responding to inquiries from students, staff, and the general public; developing and managing communications for current students; and working closely with student advisors, campus partners, and contract service providers.
In this role you will also facilitate student petitions, academic reinstatements, and other actions in WSU's student management system. Proactive problem solving, sensitive communications, and cross-functional relationship building with university partners will be essential to supporting working professionals pursuing an advanced business degree.
This is a remote/telework position with preference that the successful candidate be located in the Pacific Northwest of or Greater Inland Pacific Northwest, with reasonable access to WSU Pullman and/or the Puget Sound area.
Required Qualifications:
• A Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience. Experience leading or directing the work of others. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year‐for‐year basis.
• Demonstrated outstanding oral and written communication.
• Demonstrated ability to respectfully engage and communicate with students, staff, and faculty from diverse backgrounds.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Ability to evaluate program policies and provide recommendations to students, advisors, and unit leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to identify problems or opportunities for improvement and develop recommendations for solutions.
• Demonstrated skill with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of WSU Administrative Information Systems such as myWSU, Workday, and OBIEE.
• Experience working with online educational programs.
• Experience with CRM systems such as Slate or Salesforce.

Monthly Salary: $4,062 - $5,200 | In accordance with https://app.leg.wa.gov/RCW/default.aspx?cite=49.58.110 the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position. Successful candidates typically begin up to mid-point of the salary range.
