Job Description:
- The Clinical Application Analyst (Epic) is responsible for troubleshooting, documenting, and resolving IT application issues. This role is divided into three levels:
- Demonstrates competence in analysis and troubleshooting in healthcare computing environments, with some project lead experience.
- Mastery in analysis and troubleshooting, with leadership and extensive project management experience.
Level II:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree + 2-3 years of related experience
- OR associate degree + 4 years of related experience
- OR 5 years of related experience
Experience:
- Information Services: Industry experience as an IT analyst; some project lead experience required.
- Clinical: Experience in acute or ambulatory care settings; clinical education/degree/licensure (RN, RRT, RPH) is a plus.
- Healthcare Operations: Experience in healthcare operations like billing, scheduling, access services, or health information management.
Certifications:
- Current Grand Central Epic certification required. Additional certifications in software applications, technology infrastructure, and/or clinical specializations are advantageous.
Skills:
- Ability to set priorities, produce accurate work, and meet deadlines.
- Competence in analysis and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of healthcare computing environments.
- Self-directed with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Visio.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT application issues.
- Document change control and system problems.
- Provide weekly activity summaries to supervisors.
- Ensure security of data, reports, and devices.
- Participate in end-user functions for assigned products.
- Manage and lead project planning and completion.
- Develop and maintain documentation for tasks and projects.
- Engage in process improvement and knowledge expansion.
- Lead and mentor teams, fostering collaboration and problem-solving.
