Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Clerical Assistant to work from our St Lukes Rehab location in Spokane, WA.
Under the general direction and supervision of the Nurse Manager, the Unit Support Assistant assumes responsibility for multiple secretarial/unit support assignments relative to the function of the Department. The Unit Support Assistant performs work in the following areas to assist not only the unit but the manager of the unit as well:
Unit Support:
Answers call lights and transfers call from patient to nurse, if required.
Orders supplies, stocks and maintains inventory control of supplies as directed by unit Manager.
Clerical:
Assists Manager, if needed, in taking minutes at meetings.
Filing, scheduling as directed unit Manager.
Kronos confidential payroll.
Setting up new employee packets, locker assignments etc as directed by managers.
Reporting:
Completing confidential Kronos payroll reports.
Conducts special projects/audits as assigned.
Reception:
Perform concierge duties for patients/families, i.e., give directions, answer questions etc.
Interfaces with patients/families re: concerns and problem resolution and notifies Unit ANM or, Manager.
Enters complaints into Quantros Feedback, Management Data System.
Actively utilizes service recovery tools and assists in service improvement initiatives.

Shift: Mon-Fri, 7 am to 4:30 pm (includes rotation Weekends)
Preferred Qualifications:
Secretarial experience with medical terminology
Experience with Kronos, and MS office products
