SUMMARY: Supervises all forklift drivers and ensures the highest safety standards. Ensures all products are received, updated in our business system, stored, and pulled as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
- Supervise and oversee all employees in the Receiving Department
- Operate forklift as needed.
- Instruct employees on forklift operations.
- Provide direction to employees on work assignments
- Receive containers and update information in Apprise
- Coordinate incoming containers with the International Department
- Update product quantities and bin locations into Apprise
- Maintains the warehouse location system to maximize utilization of bins.
- Troubleshoot issues associated with inventory and processing of pulled orders
- Pull products utilizing picking slips or work orders.
- Documents warehouse measurements and report findings.
- Process all product returns.
- Updates the Receiving Report and provide it to the Credit Department.
- Manage and troubleshoot inventory issues within the warehouse
- Coordinate inbound truckers to ensure proper paperwork and C-TPAT security guidelines
- Assist in unloading trucks as needed
- Other duties as assigned

- Education and Experience: Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school and/or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, shipping documents, and memos. Ability to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Be able to speak and understand simple sentences.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out simple instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or limited variables.
- Must be able to tactfully deal with various personalities throughout the company and deal effectively and professionally with internal and external customers.
- Must be proficient in utilizing computer programs for processing data and writing reports. Required program applications include: Microsoft Outlook (intermediate level), Microsoft Excel (intermediate level), Microsoft Word (intermediate level), and experience with Apprise or other ERP systems.
