Under supervision of Engineering Manager/Engineering Lead, install, repair and maintain a variety of equipment including: refrigeration, air conditioning, electric motors, heating units, heat pumps, compressors, boilers, exhaust fans, economizers, humidifiers, VAV boxes, heat recovery components, PTAC units, steam generating equipment and DDC, must be able to work on rotating shifts and/or set day/night work schedules as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
• Ensures complete guest satisfaction AND treats guests in friendly and helpful manner.
• Ensures that Quality Standards and Service are maintained for Property, Product, and People.
• Supports established policies and procedures for Silver Reef Casino.
• Track labor, parts, and machine history in plant Computerized Maintenance Management System.
• Maintain a written log of any highlights occurring during shift coverage in conjunction with proper pass down entries.
• Install, diagnose, inspect, repair, maintain, and service a wide variety of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, refrigeration equipment and systems.
• Repair and maintain hot water systems, wall heaters, ventilation units and air conditioning units.
• Replace fans, belts, motors, gaskets, filters, and compressors.
• Adjust and install switches, gauges, thermostats, valves, tubing, transformers, pressure regulators, controllers, and other parts.
• Descale tubing, cut and thread pipe, make pipe and electrical connections.
• Add refrigerants and oil; test for defective parts; make electrical repairs related to air conditioning, heating, and ventilation equipment.
• Determine requirements for parts, materials, supplies, tools and equipment; establish cost of repairs and equipment replacement; check and test new equipment.
• Inspects HVAC systems and their components for the purpose of the evaluation condition, identify necessary repairs and recommend preventative maintenance.
• Calibrates temperature control related sensors, receivers, and transmitters
• Monitors, troubleshoots, and maintains control systems, including pneumatic, DDS / hybrid systems.
• Maintains relevant logs and documentation.
• Monitors the performance of HVAC subcontractors; including conformance to code.
• Responds to routine and emergency calls for repairs and service

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience:
• High School or equivalent
• Certification from a college or technical school
• OR completion of a trade school apprenticeship program
• Six years as a journey-level HVAC mechanic in a commercial, industrial or facilities operations setting
Language Skill:
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, electrical schematics, blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
Mathematical Skills:
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations
Reasoning Ability:
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
• Must have strong trouble shooting ability and capable of following direction
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
• Class III Gaming License
• Valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record
