SUMMARY:
Applies specialized knowledge of Cyber Security and Network Security protocols and technologies to design, implement, and manage secure network infrastructures, safeguarding the integrity and confidentiality of organizational data and IT resources. This is a technical role that proactively and iteratively hunts for security threats.
The salary for this role will be between $74,793 and $109,199. The specific salary offered will depend on several factors including but not limited to applicants skills and prior relevant experience. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Help design, setup, configure, and troubleshoot complex switching environments and maintain a thorough understanding of Wide Area and Local Area Networking along with complex wireless networkingthat supports open or secured access and the ability to support voice and video applications.
- Configure and set up Firewalls, VPN Concentrators, and Security appliances for access to vital business applications.
- Maintaining multi-site network operations and software applications, operating systems, and regular maintenance with both private and public facilities
- Develop and execute strategies for continuous monitoring of network traffic, identifying and mitigating potential security threats and vulnerabilities to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
- Install and configure client and server software for upgrading and maintaining network and telecommunication systems including patch management and security hardening standards.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of enterprise security for the internal and external networkand stays abreast of emerging issues in technology that impact future procurement decisions.
- Respondingto inquiriesfromstaff,administrators,serviceproviders,sitepersonnelandoutsidevendors etc.toprovide technicalassistanceand firstlevelnetworkadministrationsupport.
- Troubleshooting malfunctions of networkhardware and software applications, telephones, and security systems to resolve operational issues and restore services.
- Lead the evaluation and implementation of advanced threat intelligence feeds and threat hunting techniques to proactively identify and neutralize potential cyber threats targeting the business.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of network security architectures, protocols, policies, and incident response procedures, enabling efficient communication with stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and manage advanced network security solutions in compliance with stringent financial industry regulations and standards.
- Help develop, monitor, and audit comprehensive security guidelines and practices, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Participate in project management as a security advisor on mid to large scale projects when appropriate.
- Design upgrades of existing security infrastructure.
- Participate in group think in the areas of security solutions, firewalls, anti-virus solutions, and intrusion detection systems.
- Act as backup to other IT administrators on an as needed basis.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serves as a resource to bank employees in enhancing the network security literacy of the bank's workforce.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of industry-standard cybersecurity employee training programs, fostering a culture of proactive security awareness and adherence to best practices.
- Utilize available systems to record security incidents and monitor outcomes.
- Organize resources for large scale security events.
- Design repeatable testing plans for internal and external vulnerability testing.
- Effectively utilizes change management to adhere to our audit requirements.
- Conduct administration of systems and servers related to the networkensuring availability of services to authorized users.
- Shouldering assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives.
- Design and implement additional infrastructure as needed for new products.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or equivalent from an accredited four-year college or technical school; and four or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form in a timely manner.
Accurate data input; at least 35 wpm
CERTIFICATES,LICENSES,REGISTRATIONS:
MCSE, MCP, CCNA, SEC+, NSE 4 or higher, or other networking / security related certifications preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to effectively communicate via phone/video, messaging, and email. The employee is required to frequently use computer and office equipment, such as a computer, printer, and copier, as well as computer software such as Microsoft Office. This position also frequently requires being stationary a workstation for long periods of time.
