JOB DESCRIPTION (RESPONSIBILITIES):
The Integrated Medicine Coordinator for our chiropractic and regenerative medicine practice will be responsible for the following: (i) diagnosing and educating patients with health problems of the neuromusculoskeletal system; (ii) treating those problems by using chiropractic adjustment and rehabilitation exercises; (iii) managing junior staff; (iv) creating and establishing systems and protocols in futures offices; (v) training associate doctors for future offices to provide quality patient care, establish office flow, and ensure correct billing practice; and (vi) providing input on enhancing current operational protocols and future expansion concepts.
JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES):
- Diagnosing and educating patients with health problems of the neuromusculoskeletal system: (a) Assessing patients’ medical condition by reviewing their medical history and concerns. (b) Conducting physical examinations and comprehensive tests, including orthopedic and neurological exams and x-rays. (c) Analyzing test data or images and patient posture, spine, and reflexes. (d) Counseling patients on health and lifestyle issues, such as exercise, nutrition, and sleep. (e) Explaining the various treatment options to patients.
- Treating neuromusculoskeletal health problems by using chiropractic adjustment and rehabilitation exercises: (a) Collaborating with facility staff and other healthcare professionals to plan treatment. (b) Providing neuromusculoskeletal therapy by performing chiropractic adjustment for back, neck and joint pain. (c) Restoring and/or enhancing joint function with the objectives of reducing pain and resolving joint inflammation. (d) Applying rehabilitative techniques that target joints, shoulders, hips, knee, back, ankle, foot, wrist, and elbow.
- Managing junior staff, including chiropractic assistants: (a) Ensuring that staff keep equipment functional, supplies stocked, and treatment rooms prepared for each appointment. (b) Supervising the timely provision of rehabilitative care, acupuncture, and massage therapy. (c) Reviewing for accuracy the recording of patient medical histories and treatment billing codes for insurance claims. (d) Guiding staff to maintain the database of informational brochures and referral network to provide to patients following their appointments.
- Managing junior staff, including Doctors of Chiropractic, Nurse Practitioners, and rehabilitation therapists: (a) Supervising the timely provision of acupuncture and massage therapy as well as accurate charting and billing protocols. (b) Supervising and teaching rehabilitation therapists about movement mechanics analysis and appropriate progression/regression therapies in conjunction with chiropractic care. (c) Reviewing for accuracy the recording of patient medical histories and treatment billing codes for insurance claims input by doctors and rehabilitation therapists.
- Training associate doctors and staff on business practices: (a) Supervising the timely provision of office practices in accordance with business standards. (b) Providing adequate training to establish associate doctors & staff in new practice settings.
- Operational & future expansion input: (a) Providing expansion ideas and input during the acquisition process of new offices. (b) Evaluating future office spaces for acquisition.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & SPECIFIC SKILLS:
- Doctor of Chiropractic degree;
- Valid Washington State Chiropractor License;
- Three years (36 months) of fulltime postgraduate clinical experience as a licensed Chiropractor;
- Experience must include 12 months: (a) creating and establishing chiropractic office systems and protocols; (b) training associate doctors to provide quality patient care, establish office flow, and ensure correct billing practice; (c) providing input on enhancing operational protocols; and,
- Coursework in entrepreneurship and business marketing.

RATE OF PAY:
Fulltime, $180,669 per year.
