Assists with the performance of a variety of technical procedures including but not limited to percutaneous diagnostic and interventional cardiac\vascular procedures and open surgical procedures under the direct supervision of a physician. Participates in all daily duties necessary to perform high-quality patient care and imaging within the Cath\Diagnostic Imaging Department. Responsible for obtaining optimal radiographs and assisting the physician in an aseptic environment. Must be capable of patient monitoring and demonstrate knowledge of appropriate response to change in patient condition. Must maintain in-depth knowledge of complex diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular equipment\supplies and be capable of assisting with their use. Must be available for on-call shifts as necessary.
Our staff work collaboratively with our nurses, diagnostic cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, and interventional radiologists. The role would include assisting with critical care for our patients in the Cath Lab and related interventional radiology sites. Care would be assisted for biopsies, drain placements, spinal cord stimulators, nerve ablations, and other service line procedures. In the Cath Lab the technologist would expect to work with devices such as Penumbra, Rotablator, Shockwave, Impella, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps, Phillips Fluoroscopy, McKesson Monitoring, and other service line products.
The right candidate would work as part of a four-person rotating call team with the interventional cardiologist providing 24-hour coverage for our community and the communities we serve. Interdepartmental collaboration is essential as we work with peers in the pre-operative area, radiology department, and surgical services units.
Our dynamic work team strives for constant improvement in our skills, processes, and knowledge to provide the best possible care we can for every patient. The technologist should expect to work collaboratively with all our staff.
A typical work schedule would include an average of 40 hours per week. Weekday call time would start at 1700 and lasts until 0630 the following morning. The weekends consist of 24-hour call coverage. We always have two technologists on call, and that call is equally shared amongst the team, which usually consists of 6 technologists. Holidays are fairly rotated between staff and PTO based adjustments are made to accommodate staff needs.

Required Qualifications:
Coursework/Training - Graduate of a two-year invasive cardiovascular program or,
Coursework/Training - Successful completion of a formal Radiologic Technologist program.
Washington Radiologic Technologist upon hire.
National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
Provider Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association upon hire.
1 year - Cath lab Experience.
6 months - Imaging Experience.
