Provide analytical and programming support for software security products, components, or applications that detect vulnerability exploitation in both consumer and public software ecosystems. Plan, implement, upgrade, or monitor security measures, processes and procedures for the protection of computer networks and information. Assess system vulnerabilities for security risks and propose and implement risk mitigation strategies. May ensure appropriate security controls are in place that will safeguard digital files and vital electronic infrastructure. Collaborate with cross functional teams to support operational security and mitigate security incidents, as well as conduct security reviews and document findings. Plan and support research into security issues to eliminate or diminish risks. Telecommuting permitted less than 50%/week within same geographic location as assigned Microsoft office location.
Requirements:
- Education: Master's or foreign equivalent in Business Administration (MBA); Business Management; Organizational Psychology; Business Intelligence Analyst; or a related field.
- Experience: 36 months of software-related, centralized and coordinated program, product, or project management experience and/or experience in designing, developing and releasing software products or services.
- Education or Experience in: SDLC; Risk Assessments; Security Frameworks (NIST, HIPAA, ISO 27001); Cybersecurity Strategy and Roadmap; Risk Management; Risk Reporting; and Reporting.
Pay Range and Benefits Information: The offered base pay range for this specific position (V10825589.b), in Redmond, WA, is $201,400 to $231,400 per year.
Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
