Employment Type: Full-time, Contract (duration up to multiple years)
Schedule: 9/80 (every other Friday off)

Responsibilities:
- Design and analysis of fluid and gas systems in the waste treatment process facilities.
- Preparation of technical reports, design documentation, and specifications for complex mechanical systems and equipment.
- Development of piping and instrument diagrams (P&ID) and equipment data sheets integrating design and nuclear safety standards.
- Collaborative interface with various engineering disciplines and clients to refine system designs.
- System and equipment specification based on safety, process, and other operational requirements.
- Coordination within engineering teams to develop detailed designs and resolve technical issues.
- Supporting safety analyses and hazard evaluations.
- Serving as a key communication link with external partners, including vendors and subcontractors.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution with a minimum of 3 years related experience.
- Ability to pass pre-employment screenings including drug tests, physicals (if onsite), and background checks.
- Eligibility to obtain a Department of Energy badge for site access.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or PE License in Mechanical, Chemical, or Nuclear Engineering.
- Experience adhering to quality assurance programs such as ASME-NQA-1, MIL-Q-9858A, or ISO-9000.
- Previous work with government agencies, preferably in the DOE or DOD sectors.
