SECTOR OVERVIEW
Our Environmental Sector delivers comprehensive environmental solutions to meet the full project lifecycle needs of clients in renewable energy, oil - gas, transportation, and manufacturing industries. With one of the largest multimedia air and land permitting and compliance teams in the country, we support client success in manufacturing and industry, liquids delivery and processing, natural gas storage and delivery, power generation and delivery, and transportation projects.
POSITION SUMMARY
TRC is seeking a Project level Geologist or Environmental Engineer in our Issaquah, WA office.
This position would work closely with Project Managers and technical leads performing remediation, investigation, monitoring, facility compliance, permitting, process, and other environmental activities to serve our clients. We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible, and personable individual with an eye for detail, a willingness to learn, and a desire to be part of a growing and high-performing team.
Responsibilities:
Support environmental assessment, remediation, and compliance projects in the field and office.
Perform a variety of field work including environmental assessments, environmental investigations, site inspections, feasibility tests, remedial implementation, and subcontractor oversight.
Interpret geological and hydrogeological and chemical data.
Support management of large and complex tasks to ensure internal and external expectations are met for scope, budget, schedule, and quality.
Prepare and review technical reports (e.g. feasibility studies, work plans, and reports in support of environmental assessment, investigation, and remediation projects).
Assist during proposal development, including preparation of work scopes and budgets.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Geoscience, Environmental or Civil Engineer from an accredited university required.
3-6 years of experience in environmental consulting with focus on investigation and remediation projects.
Geologist-in-Training (GIT) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) preferred.
40-hour HAZWOPER certificate (with current 8-hour annual refresher course certification).
Exceptional interpersonal skills and outstanding oral and written communication skills allowing for positive internal, client, and contractor relationships.
Knowledge of Washington State and Federal environmental regulations (MTCA, RCRA, etc.) preferred.

Compensation:
In accordance with Washington law, the following compensation range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition: $75,000 to $95,000. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.
