Responsibilities
Peraton requires Communications Planners to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) - 3. Positions are located at the SOCOM Headquarters at MacDill, AFB FL, and at the TSOC and Component locations in the United States and abroad.
The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract
(SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide
USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs),
and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network
Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and
common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct
training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.
The Communications Planner will have demonstrated expertise in determining project objectives, organizing and arranging resources and ensuring smooth pace and on time delivery of assigned projects. The Planner should have a broad understanding of and experience working with translating requirements into operational solutions. The Communications Planner is required to have Project Management experience and a strong technical and functional knowledge of the Government's preferred Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions. The Planner executes directives by a having a thorough understanding of the customer's processes.

Creating impact assessments by correlating operational events with the status of
Reporting impact assessments regarding the status of systems as
Providing technical assessments of potential new services and capabilities per policies, procedures, regulations, and directives.
Participating in meetings and briefings as coordinated with the
Participating in project management
Managing the location of technical and project management
Developing engineering solutions and courses of action to assist with the integration of new technology
Increasing efficiency of programs by adapting to new technologies
Developing approach to communications, including processes, procedures, format, and other rules of engagement.
Analyzing and defining systems, functions, process and user needs for a wide variety of projects
Performing technical assessments aimed at improving client systems and updates system requirements based on changes in operations or policy
Creating documentation such as policies, procedures, workflows and user guides
Analyzes and performs functional allocations to identify tasks and their inter-relationships, incorporates user needs, and performs research and functional analysis on a variety of projects
Identifying and recommending resources required for task execution and completion
Developing new systems or updates existing systems to meet client needs
Serving as technical advisor to clients in assigned subject areas, recommends functional changes, and identifies areas for further investigation
Generating recommendations in the form of technical briefings, reports, and other major documents provided to senior level client personnel
Consulting with clients to determine optimum design for assigned projects
Identifying emerging relevant technologies that may result in improvements to current processes and systems
Writing and updates project documentation including system procedures, presentations, and training materials
Providing guidance and work leadership to less-experienced analysts, and may have supervisory responsibilities
May serve as technical team or task lead
Maintaining current knowledge of relevant technologies and subject areas
Participating in special projects as required
Providing excellent analytical solutions to problems and effectively communicates them to the customer and team.
Some positions may require shift work and/or an ability to work a non-standard work schedule to support the USSOCOM mission
Qualifications
Required qualifications:
BS 5-7 Years, MS 3-5, PhD 0-2. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Business Administration, Mathematics, or a related field. Substantial relevant experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
At least 3-5 years of communications planning experience including operations planning at Battalion, Brigade or higher, and joint service equivalence.
DoD 8570.01-M IAT I certification is required
Top Secret Clearance or higher

Target Salary Range
$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
