Overview: We are seeking reliable Cooks for on base galley kitchen work serving to enlisted military members and their families.
JOB DUTIES:
Perform a full range of cooking tasks, to include but not limited to:
- Prepare and cook items that requiring little or no processing such as eggs, pancakes,
hamburgers, fresh and canned vegetables. - Prepare all forms of hot cereals.
- Broil meats.
- Prepare and cook concentrated or dehydrated soups, sauces and gravies.
- Prepare convenience items such as frozen hash browns, fish fillets, and chicken.
- Prepare foods by peeling, chopping, grinding, paring, cutting, slicing, dicing,
pureeing, dredging, flouring, and breading. - Weigh, measure, and dispense food in accordance with industry standard portion.
- Sets up and replenishes salad bar.
- Cover, date, and store leftovers according to industry standards.
- Clean and maintain equipment and work areas to industry standards.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic computations in multiplying ingredients for a
recipe and calculating how many servings. - Skill in planning, coordinating and timing sequence of steps required to have all menu.

Qualifications:
- Ability to pass Background Screening for base access.
- Ability to lift 40lbs unassisted.
- Work requires continual standing, walking, frequent stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling.

- Provide a current food handlers permit.
Hours/Shift:
10am to 2pm Monday through Friday
Pay:
$22.72/hour
