The Tanzania Teaching Foundation, an established and registered 501(c)3 non-profit, is seeking a new Executive Director. The Executive Director will articulate and support the vision maintain the current goal of the organization, to work to promote social justice through English language learning in a small village in Tanzania. Through this work, the organization aims to build a stronger, more resilient community where English language is not a barrier to education and opportunity.
We are looking for an Executive Director who can think creatively, oversee finances, and foster relationships between Tanzania and the U.S. This half-time position is responsible for the recruitment, training, and deployment for volunteers to teach a 10-week intensive English program each fall for middle school aged students in the southcentral highlands of Tanzania. The person is also responsible for fundraising including grant-writing to sustain the program.
