Qualifications
Education, Training and Experience: Must be 18 years of age or older. High school diploma/GED. Concrete experience preferred.
Licensure/Credentials:Must receive First Aid Certification, and DOT medical certification prior to hire. Must have a Class VII Telehandler forklift certification within 2 weeks of hire. Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing. ACI Certification preferred.
Working Conditions
Physical Demand: Requires normal/corrected vision and hearing to normal range.Requires heavy physical activity performing strenuous daily activities of a primarily productive/technical nature. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, push, pull, grip with force, talk or hear, and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds may be required less frequently to lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Vision requirements include good depth perception, field of vision, and the ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus.
Equipment Used:Cell phone, forklift, pre-cast forms, safety gear, power tools, crane.
Hours of Work: Full-Time, Monday-Friday. Some weekend work is needed. Hours and days of work may vary due to project timelines.
Essential Job Functions
- Prepares/stages materials to maintain efficient workflow.
- Cleans and sets up precast concrete forms.
- Handles and ties steel rebar cages.
- Maintains proper care of steel forms, tools, and equipment.
- Operates class 7 telehandler forklift.
- Loads and unloads material.
- Loads and unloads trucks with various precast products.
- Maintains cleanliness around the yard.
- Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Identifies unsafe working conditions and notifies superintendent.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Performs a variety of production duties including but not limited to setting up the forms for pre-pour inspections, removing excess concrete, and cleaning forms; installing the correct size spacers, knockouts, mesh, etc.; bolting and unbolting forms with hand and/or power tools to prepare for stripping operations.
- Reads production drawings and recognizes whether the product is set up properly; sets up the form as indicated in the production drawing with correct bill of materials; makes indicated modifications to the set-up as necessary.
- Places concrete into the forms after passing pre-pour inspection; consolidates concrete in accordance with the mix design.
- Finishes concrete with various floats or other concrete tools; places finish on exposed surface with proper finishing tools; properly applies curing treatments.

Knowledge and Abilities
- Knowledge in the understanding of the manufacturing process.
- Knowledge of aspects of concrete foundations, flatwork, and pre-cast.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards.
- Ability to perform work in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ability to clearly communicate with customers and co-workers via telephone and e-mail.
- Ability to follow verbal and written directions.
- Ability to multi-task under stressful situations.
