CONSTRUCTION PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT/SSHO
Blue Trident, LLC is seeking an experienced Construction Project Superintendent with SSHO training. Candidate's primary role will be to run the day to day operations on the construction site, control the project schedule and coordinate the quality control and subcontractor responsibilities with the project manager. Candidate to also serve as SSHO for construction projects. Majority of projects are located in the Puget Sound region. Successful candidates must demonstrate the following skills:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Direct all job site activities to maintain compliance with contract specifications, client requirements, and local, state and federal building codes.
- Coordinate material deliveries and subcontract work in accordance with project schedule.
- Supervise project employees and subcontractors to ensure quality and timeliness of construction.
- Inspect work in progress to ensure client satisfaction with finished project.
- Maintain regular communication with the Project Manager regarding the status of job.
- Complete and submit project reports as required.
- Control hazardous working conditions and unsafe activities through safety management and contacting supervisory personnel.
- Supervise and administer safety/first aid activities including work assignments, personnel administration, staffing and training.
- Conduct work area surveillance inspections, air sampling tests for confined space entry, property damage and personal injury investigations.
- Document all accidents, safety violations, unsafe conditions/activities.
- Review documentation to insure all required records and reports are complete, accurate and submitted per established procedures, and implement appropriate corrective action as required.)
- Perform other duties as assigned.
SSHO specific:
- Duties as required in EM 385-1-1 for SSHO
- Conduct daily safety and health inspections and maintain a written log which includes area/operation inspected, date of inspection, identified hazards, recommended corrective actions, estimated and actual dates of corrections. Attach safety inspection logs to the daily production report.
- Attend pre-construction conference, pre-work meetings including preparatory inspection meeting,
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Superintendent on projects in the $100K to $5M range on federal government projects.
- EM 385-1-1, USACE Safety Certificate.
- OSHA 30 Hour Construction training certification (within the last three years, if possible).
- First Aid/CPR training (current).
- 40 Hour HAZWOPER Certificate preferred.
- Strong leadership and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Computer skills including MS Office applications.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize workload and multi-task with ease.
- Design/Build experience is a plus
Duties will include: Oversee and direct daily construction activities at work site, including scheduling of workers, delivery of equipment and materials and progress of the project. Work with contractors to complete project within the given budget and time frame. Familiar with a variety of the field concepts, practices and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

This position will be at the worksite at all times whenever work or testing is being performed. The worksite environment is constantly changing and may include:
- Wet and/or humid conditions
- Moving mechanical parts
- High, precarious places
- Risk of electrical shock
- Outside weather conditions, such as extreme heat and extreme cold
- Moderate to loud noise levels
