Expedia, Inc. has an opening for Mobile Engineer II in Seattle, Washington.
Job Duties: Work closely with cross-functional teams to help define business and feature requirements. Understand target users deeply: develop or work from user profiles and conduct task analysis, create user scenarios, help to create, and analyze user surveys and feedback. Create process flows, wireframes, prototypes, high fidelity mockups, and detailed UI and visual design specifications for web and mobile. Request and drive user research/usability tests as needed. Collaborate with product management, engineering, analytics, and research to take products from inception to launch. Build an understanding of our customers via qualitative and quantitative insights and advocate for them when making design decisions. Present design work to the product team, engineering team, and external partners for review and feedback. Contribute to user interface design and development best practices and standards at Expedia. Partner with highly technical development teams for product launch. Handle multiple projects in an agile, fast-paced environment. This position is not eligible for relocation benefits or assistance. May work remotely or from home 2 days/week; must live within commuting distance of Expedia office.
Requirements: Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a software engineer-related occupation. Position requires:

3. Unit Testing and Monitoring application;
4. Test Scripting;
5. User Experience;
6. Debugging;
7. Understanding of API access; and
8. Understanding moderately complex systems.

The total cash range for this position in Seattle, Washington is $112,000 to $179,000/year.
Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
