Medical Assistant
Location: NE Portland
Pay scale: $20-28 per hour depending on years of experience

MyTeam Medical Staffing seeks to fill a Medical Assistant position in a Primary Care setting. Medical Assistant candidate will have a minimum of 1-year current physician office or clinic experience. Clinic is employee supportive and possesses excellent benefits. Position will start as temporary and based on performance may grow into a temp to permanent position. Clinic seeks the right fit and position is open as of July.
Key Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Sets up exam rooms and checks in patients.
- Vital signs, patient history and medication reconciliation
- Administer injections including immunizations
- Maintains a patient recall system, including continuity of care log for lab tests, referrals and transfers.
- Obtains vital signs, and reports significant findings and pertinent patient observations to clinic physician.
- Performs audiometry and vision testing.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Certificate of completion or diploma in an accredited MA program preferred
- Current MA national credential, e.g., CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT), NCMA, etc. required prior to starting the position
