Driver’s Job Description
Job Summary
Portable Toilet Driver must be able to drive medium-duty trucks, capable of performing medium to heavy lifting, effectively communicating with teammates and management team, perform basic repair on portable toilets, drive safely and positively interact/communicate with our community and clients. You must be 21 years of age and able to pass a pre-employment drug test. Overtime will be available in our busy season (May-October). We offer a variety of schedules depending on what you are looking for, days, nights, and weekends available. We are also looking to fill full time and part time positions.
Description:
Drive service trucks to various job sites to deliver, pick-up, clean, and empty portable toilets
and maintain them to Green Latrine standards. Represent our company in a friendly and
professional manner. Report and communicate any problems, potential problems,
inaccessibility to units, to the dispatchers or supervisor immediately.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
*Drive company vehicles to job sites to deliver, pick-up, or service portable toilets and maintain
them to Green Latrine standards.
*Perform all work in a safe manner.
*Operate company vehicle and equipment safely and maintain vehicle in good, clean
operating condition.
*Follow proper service procedures which the training team will teach you.
*Perform daily inspection of vehicle and notify supervisor or mechanic of any problems with
vehicle immediately by following processes.
*Complete, sign properly, and turn in all daily paperwork.
*Be responsible for Green Latrine equipment signed out to you.
Skills and Qualifications
Experience Requirements:
Prior experience preferred, but not required. On-the-job training will be provided.
Skills/Abilities:
Good communication skills are required. Need basic reading and writing skills.
Special Requirements:
Must have a good driver’s license. We would like to give 2nd changes.
Physical Requirements/working conditions:
Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions. Must be able to lift portable toilets onto & off all styles of trucks. Must be able to pull and carry hose from truck to portable toilet to service unit. You will also be required to carry a bucket with deodorizer weighing
approximately 40lbs from truck to unit.
Service Procedure for Green Latrine standards:
*All waste will be pumped from the tank and other debris removed.
*All surfaces will be scrubbed with brushes and wiped down.
*The floor will be cleaned of mud, ice, and other debris.
*The urinal will be scrubbed inside and out.
*Graffiti will be removed as much as possible weekly.
*Fresh water and deodorizer will be added to all tanks.
*Deodorizing spray will be used to make Green Latrine clean.
*Toilet tissue will be replaced or replenished in all units. Different tissue for different units.
*Hand soap, door locks, rivets and seats will be checked and replaced as needed.
*Needed repairs will be done or reported to dispatch.
*Proper and level placement of portable toilets will be confirmed.
*Driver will sign and date the service log in each unit.
*If a unit is blocked or in some way inaccessible, the driver will contact dispatch and wait
patiently.
*Units can’t be serviced; the drivers will flag stop with an explanation and take a picture of why.
Contact the dispatcher and tell them what has been done.
