In this role, you will be integral to the financial health of our members and the credit union as a whole. As a Member Solutions Repossession Specialist, you'll have the opportunity to work on a team that truly cares.
What your day may include:
Performing administrative duties related to repossessions of consumer loans including, but not limited to:
Ensuring all pre & post repossession notices are sent in accordance with local and state laws
Assigns vehicles to approved repossession agents to include tracking and follow up for timely location of the collateral
Ensures proper file maintenance is placed on the account at the time of assigning the repossession and at the time the vehicle is repossessed.
Disposing of repossessed collateral via auto auctions & ensuring timely receipt of all proceeds of sales, including being familiar with the sales process at the approved auto auctions (title requirements, bidding instructions, sale proceed requirements, etc.)
Working with third party vendors for vehicle impounds and seizures
Processing and collecting insurance claims and refundable contract premiums including primary insurance, Gap insurance, service contracts, and other source of revenue available on assigned accounts
Managing WSECU's collateral portfolio while focusing on aging accounts within the repossession queues
Monitoring the results of all repossession agents, auctions, and insurance companies to insure maximum recovery values for WSECU
Obtaining and negotiating flexible and attainable payment options for borrower(s)
Maintaining a scorecard percentage of 85% or higher each month
What you bring to the team:
Minimum two (2) years financial institution experience
Minimum two (2) years consumer collection experience
Minimum one (1) year repossession and skip tracing experience
Knowledge of lending and financial regulations (FDCPA, FCRA and SCRA)
Tactful, effective communication skills (listening, speaking, writing)
Ability to communicate information with emotional people in a positive and diplomatic manner over the telephone.
The ability to form recommendations with clear and concise written support
Ability to calculate interest rates and percentages and to research and solve numeric discrepancies
Competitive Base Pay: $25.16 - $37.74 per hour, dependent on relevant qualifications, plus an annual discretionary incentive plan and benefits package
The range above allows our employees room for growth through annual merit and other pay increase during their tenure in the position.
The target range for qualified new hires is typically within the first half of the range. Actual offers will be based on individual qualifications relevant to the role and will not take an applicant's pay history into account.
Position location: 330 Union Ave, Olympia WA. Employee must reside and perform all work in the state of Washington. This is a hybrid position that blends working in-office and from home. Works onsite one (1) occasion per week.
When you'd work: Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday 8:30 am - 5:30 pm. Hours vary based on needs of the department and flexible hours are necessary to meet service needs
