WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Process Engineers on the North American (NAM) Process Engineering team are responsible for the
process design of water and wastewater treatment solutions for customers in a diverse range of
markets and industries, including Industrial, Microelectronics, Food & Beverage, and Municipal. The
Process Engineer's responsibilities include water/wastewater characterization, defining the design
basis, unit process selection and design, high level equipment sizing, and process guarantees. They
use a variety of treatment technologies, including clarification, flotation, media filtration, low and
high-pressure membranes (ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, and reverse osmosis), ion exchange,
electrolysis, evaporation, and ozone/UV disinfection to meet stringent (re)use requirements.
Process Engineers are involved in projects from early sales opportunity development, through
proposals, engineering, commissioning, and long-term system operation
The Process Engineering & Pilots leadership team is looking for a Process Engineering Operations
Leader to support them and the entire team by ensuring that they have the tools, documents,
standards, guidelines, templates, work processes, data, and other supports they need to be efficient
in delivering for our customers. The Process Engineering Operations Leader will work with the team
to identify and implement improvement needs, which may include the following areas:
Talent development (skills matrix, typical development plans, training plans, evolution of
Technical Career Path)
Role definition (division of responsibilities, application of ProjEx)
Resource planning (number and type of resources needed over time)
Work procedures (application of ProjEx, technical reviews, best practices)
Collaboration improvements with other functions or parts of the business

Ultimately, the Process Engineering Operations Leader needs to be passionate about improving how
the Process Engineering team works to make work easier for the members of the team. They are
accountable to the team of Process Engineers that they serve, with success being determined by the
Process Engineering team's ability to do more work, more quickly, at higher quality, and with greater
repeatability.
As a leader, the Process Engineering Operations Leader will evaluate ways of working, look for
opportunities, communicate a vision, delegate work, and lead a team (who may or may not report
into the Operations Leader) to completion of deliverables.
The Process Engineering Operations Leader will report to the Director of Process Engineering and be
an active member of the Process Engineering & Pilots leadership team. They will work cross-
functionally with all of the functions across NAM Projects and beyond, as needed to improve work
processes.
