Mental Health Therapist - Licensed

Kent Youth & Family Services (KYFS) is looking for licensed Mental Health Therapists to add to their staff. KYFS is a non-profit agency that has been providing human services to children and their families for over 50 years! Our therapists work with children of all ages (birth to 25 years of age) and their families providing a range of services and therapeutic treatment.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Master’s Degree in Mental Health, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, or other related field.
- Full LMHC or equivalent Licensed in the State of Washington in good standing.
- Two (2) or more years clinical experience required
- Knowledge of infant mental health & Experience working with families with infants and young children.
- Understanding of attachment theory, development of infants and young children, and interest in using different modalities (dyadic, psychodynamic, family, child play) in therapy
- Provide assessment, therapy, case management, advocacy and clinical services.
- Training in PCIT or other parenting programs.
- Experience with Proven Programs, Best Practices, Evidence-based service systems.
- Familiarity with the King County Mental Health System preferred.
- Work with other community based organizations and child serving systems. And appreciation and respect for diversity and cultural/ethnic competency.
- CDP, CDPT or familiarity with SA issues and identification a plus.
- Ability to speak a 2nd language a plus.
- Satisfactory completion of any required finger printing and criminal background check; valid Washington (or other state) driver license and vehicle insurance.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide parent child, individual, and family therapy to infants, young children, and families at the agency working within a relational, trauma informed framework.
- Provide assessment, case management, treatment planning, and advocacy.
- Maintain paperwork associated with therapeutic services.
- Enter and maintain client information, including notes into EMR system meeting required timelines.
- Meet and maintain productivity levels per direct services associated with position.
- Attend and participate in all staff meetings, clinical consultations and in-service trainings.
- Seek continuing education and training related to providing therapeutic services to infants, children, and families.
- Provide consultations to other agency programs when requested.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other community supports, childcare, school staff, and child serving systems.
JOB TYPE/SHEDULE: Full time or Part time schedules available. Mon to Fri. Days or late morning to early evening to meet the needs of clients.
